For more details on Lorraine please get in touch.
Originally trained as a dancer and choreographer, Lorraine performed extensively for others before setting up LORRAINE ROBERTS AND CO, a professional dance company specialising in contemporary dance and physical theatre. The company performed at venues including the Lillian Baylis Theatre and The Place Theatre in London before Lorraine decided to go back to follow her childhood passion of skating. Having never looked back Lorraine now works as a choreographer both on and off skates and is an experienced advisor and producer of all things skate and dance on skates.
Since undertaking her career as a skate instructor Lorraine has returned to her dance and choreography roots but with skating as the emphasis.
Her work has taken her and London Skate Crew to far flung places including Singapore and Stockholm promoting the fun and health benefits of skating and dance on skates.
Late in 2013 Lorraine was privileged to be invited to spend time with Torvill and Dean, the ice skating sensations, talking about their forthcoming ‘Off Ice’ Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium in conjunction with Roller Disco. Look out for this interview in the London Skate Crew Blog.
Other truly inspiring moments in her career so far have included interviewing and meeting Chris Fox, a true inspiration and our UK Senior Artistic Roller Skating Champion, who is about to represent the UK at the European and World Champi0onships. We will be keeping in touch with him as he goes into competition, so join us on Twitter and Facebook to find out more.
