FAQs

What I will need:

  • Skates (See below if require skate hire)
  • Safety equipment including Knee pads and wrist guards ( Compulsory)
  • Skate or cycle Helmet: Not compulsory but strongly advised by London Skate Crew and their instructors / partners.

Please be aware: The decision to undertake a lesson without a helmet is taken at your own risk and in booking this lesson you agree that London Skate Crew, their Instructors and Partners cannot be held responsible for any injuries sustained as a result of this decision to skate without head protection.

  • Food and Liquid Refreshments: Although there are kiosks and cafe's at most locations there is no guarantee they will be open so it is worth considering this prior to arrival. Courses lasting 1.5 hours or more will include one or more breaks for refreshments depending on course duration

If you need to hire skates there are a number of shops that offer this service including 'Slick Willies' and 'The Blue Room'. Both are located near hyde park and rental can be per day or a number of hours. They also offer over night hire for those skaters looking to do a lesson in Battersea Park.

What happens if it rains?

Due to the nature of the british weather if lessons are scheduled to take place outdoors then a WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY is in place. Your instructor will endeavour to contact all students at least one hour prior to the lesson taking place to cancel / reschedule session if they believe skating conditions are not suitable for the level of lesson. Examples of this include: rain, wet or greasy floors, wind, events that may impact on availiability of space etc.

In the event that a lesson needs to be cancelled upon arrival due to any of the above unforseen conditions students will be refunded for the lesson or the session rescheduled.

In the event of cancellation half way through a lesson eg: unforsee rain students will be charged for the percentage of the lesson undertaken and a refund given for the rest or this time added to the next session.
