Skating Production

Lorraine Roberts of London Skate Crew has worked extensively in film, TV and production on both sides of the camera in her roles as Artistic Director, Performer, Choreographer, Interviewer, Skate Advisor and Skate Instructor.

Originally trained as a dancer and choreographer, her work has brought her into contact with the likes of Grey Advertising, who she advised on skating for the ‘Evian Babies’ advert, through to working as skate instructor and choreographer in collaboration with Carnesky Productions on their show ‘Enter the Tarot Drome’.

Lorraine is also an experienced Interviewer both on and off camera with high level experience in scripting. Lorraine spent many years working in marketing as a focus group moderator and interviewer. She was recently asked to interview Torvill and Dean for Roller Disco as they prepared for their  ‘off ice’ performance at the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium, and she has also been privileged to have interviewed Chris Fox, UK Senior Male British Champion, who kindly agreed to talk to her about his skating journey and his forthcoming travels to take part in the European and World Championships.

Lorraine's skills include: production - dance, choreography, rehearsal direction, organising and auditioning performers on and off skates, performer preparation, 'Bring out the performer in you' advice, 'learn to skate' skills relating to performance, TV, film etc.; health and safety implications;  liason with tech including lighting design; liason and collaboration with musical producers; event organisation; performer management.
